Office 2013 does not include an update for the Mac OS X version of Office. Mac users can still purchase a single license of the existing version (Office for Mac 2011) or install Office for Mac 2011 on up to five computers with a subscription to Office 365.

Support for Office 2013 will end on April 11, 2023 and there will be no extension and no extended security updates. All of your Office 2013 apps will continue to function. However, you could expose yourself to serious and potentially harmful security risks.

Microsoft will no longer provide technical support, bug fixes, or security fixes for Office 2013 vulnerabilities which may be subsequently reported or discovered. This includes security updates which can help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software.

We recommend you upgrade Office. Your options to upgrade will depend if you're using Office 2013 at home or if your version of Office 2013 is managed by the IT department or the IT admin at your work or school.

If you're using Office 2013 at home (such as, Office Home & Student 2013 or Office Home & Business 2013), you'll still be able to use it, but we recommend you upgrade to a newer version of Office so you can stay up to date with all the latest features, patches, and security updates. This is less of a question and more of a simple complaint. I work at a company where we buy our versions of office with our Dell computers, usually. This is cheaper for us and helps make it easy to set up a new machine with everything on it. We also, actively recycle computers, as in when the machine is no longer fit for an engineering machine, due to advances in software and hardware, we then upgrade the engineer and trickle down the computers. From what I've seen, this is a very good way to save us money and seems to be working rather well. The only problem is, once we switched over to Office 2013 we have a problem.

Office 2013 doesn't seem to have ANY way to find the product key for itself. This presents a problem as we have hundreds of machines, all with their own personal copy of Office but when we want to trickle it down and have to do a factory reset there is no way to find the product key that was used to install that copy. I understand Microsoft is just trying to be secure with their product keys, but it is honestly a bit ridiculous. If every single time I have to reset a computer I have to search through our hundreds of product keys to find the one with the proper service tag, that's ridiculous and there has to be a better way of doing it.

Simply put, all I ask is that Microsoft find some way to get the installed product key off of 2013. It can't be that hard. You encrypted it, write something to decrypt it and then I will have no complaints. Don't get me wrong, I love Microsoft and I think they are one of the best companies around when it comes to OS/software, but this one flaw is really annoying when you're in my situation. Installed Excel Power Query on Excel 2013 packaged in Office 2013 standard. After installation the Add-in appears in the COM Add-ins menu but when the check box is checked and OK is clicked the ADD-in does not load. Any help is appreciated, questions answered ASAP.
